How to Connect
The first thing you need is an account or a pre-paid card issued by DEKAL. Once you have purchased the pre-paid card or service package, follow the instructions below to get connected:
  1. Browse wireless connections for available wireless networks.
  2. connect to "SuperWifi_DEKAL Wireless Jamaica"* or "SuperWifi_DEKAL Wireless Visitor"**.
  3. Launch your internet browser and you will see the login page.
  4. Enter your pre-paid card / account number and click Login.
  5. You will be redirected to Dekal Wireless' home page and then be able to surf.
Note:
If you have purchased a 1 Day or 7 Day Gold pre-paid card, connect to "SuperWifi_DEKAL Wireless Jamaica".
** If you have purchased a "Tourist – 15 mins, 30 mins, 60 mins or 24 hour" pre-paid card, "30 Days" pre-paid card or "Platinum Service" package, connect to "SuperWifi_DEKAL Wireless Jamaica" or "SuperWifi_DEKAL Wireless Visitor".


Connecting with varying signal levels.

Three to five bars This is the best result with maximum through-put. If surfing on a WiFi enabled device no additional equipment is needed.

Still Can't Connect: Possible issues
  • Sometimes you may see a strong signal, however are unable to connect. This may be because your device may not have enough power to communicate back to our antenna -- in this instance we recommend our SUPERWIFI Booster.
  • If you want to connect a desktop PC, you may need a USB WiFi dongle, and possibly a USB extension cable in order to move the dongle to a window if the PC itself isn't in the best area where signal is available.

Two Bars: You should be able to connect and have decent through-put with two bars.

Still Can't Connect: Possible issues
  • There are times where your device can see the DEKAL signal with two bars but will not be able to connect – this sometimes occurs where your device does not have a strong enough built-in wireless device to be able to send a signal to the DEKAL network – in this case we recommend our SUPERWIFI Booster.
  • If you want to connect a desktop PC, you may need a USB WiFi dongle, and possibly a USB extension cable in order to move the dongle to a window if the PC itself isn't in the best area where signal is available.

One Bar:
  • Although you may see a signal, one bar may not be enough for you to communicate with the antennas. While DEKAL may be getting a signal to you, your wireless card may not be strong enough to send the signal back to the antenna. Additional hardware will be needed to ensure a reliable and speedy connection - we recommend our SUPERWIFI Booster.
  • If you want to connect a desktop PC, you may need a USB WiFi dongle, and possibly a USB extension cable in order to move the dongle to a window if the PC itself isn't in the best area where signal is available.

No Bars: You will not be able to connect. However, with the use of the SUPERWIFI Booster or other equipment, you may be able to get Line of Sight service. You will need to have a clear view of one of our antennas.
